Bios
Frank Maracle and Stan Kowalski formed the Double Take band in 1999 with the intention of performing primarily for weddings, nightclubs and private functions. By adding other well-seasoned musicians with stage experience and great personalities, Double Take has become a solid, veratile group with strong musicianship and a powerful stage show.

Stan Kowalski
Drums & Emcee
Stan is a versatile drummer who has played in many popular bands in Western New York over the past 30 years.
Stan started playing in High school as a rock drummer,then as the years progressed was influenced by Classic Rock, Jazz, Funk, Disco, and Blues.

Frank Maracle
Keyboards & Vocals
Frank has been performing in the WNY area for approximately 25 years, and has been in numerous bands. Frank has opened up for national acts such as Brownsville Station, The Outlaws, and Los Lobos. Currently, he plays keyboards, and provides lead & backup vocals for the band. Frank, like many musicians, got his first inspiration to perform live upon seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. Though only a child at the time, their music had a lasting impression on him and to this day is still one of his strongest influences.

Lee Brothers
Guitar & Vocals
Lee has been in the music business his entire life. He began playing guitar early on at the age of 7, and begn performing for live audiences at the age of 15. His influences include everything from blues & rock to jazz & country. Lee has performed all over NY State in various rock, blues and Top 40 bands and is the most recent addition to the Double Take line up. We welcome both his stellar lead guitar playing and his smooth and soulful vocal stylings to the band.

Derrek Drass
Bass
Derrek has played a wide variety of musical styles over his relatively short career. For over a year, he played bass in Matt's Music Jazz Band for senior citizen homes across Western New York. In addition to spicing up the Double Take band, Derrek writes and plays guitar in Achilles Revival, an original rock band formed with old high school class mates. Derrek graduated from the University at Buffalo for Civil Engineering.

Nicole Bishop
Vocals
Nicole began singing jazz and gospel in junior high school. She has performance experience in a wide variety of musical styles. Nicole worked as a wedding singer in New York City for 5 years for the Hank Lane Orchestras while recording and performing original music. She has opened for the Young Rascals, and performed alongside Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul, and Mary, , and Sweet Honey in the Rock. Nicole co-wrote the song "Je T'Aime" with DJ Armand Van Helden. It was released on his 2008 "Ghettoblaster" album, then released as a remix album. Nicole was a finalist in the Protene Pro Voice Contest, and her original songs have been featured on various compilation albums. Nicole has been featured in music videos and on reality TV, including "Elimidance" and "I've Got Nothing to Wear!"
